Prominent Assamese poet Ananda Chandra Barua (1907- 1983) is known as 'Bokulbonor Kobi' in Assamese literature. His first poem was published in Banhi, edited by Lakshminath Bezbaroa. He was elected President of the Barpeta session of the Assam Sahitya Sabha in 1969. Shri Barua was awarded the Padma Shri in 1970 and Sahitya Akademi in 1977. Photo courtesy : instagram@bikrambokul
